Performance sale reaches a top price of $120,000


ABOVE: Michael and Jesse Bloom purchased Suen Too Duck for $120,000.

A TOP price of $120,000 was paid for Quarter Horse mare Suen Too Duck at the 2022 Nutrien Equine Supreme performance horse sale at Toowoomba.


The mare is by Boon Too Suen and out of Ducks Dux and was purchased by M&J Bloom Pty Ltd from the Trustee for the Estate of Cornelis John Brekelmans.


The clearance rate for the sale was just over 82 per cent with 258 of 314 lots sold.

The average price paid was $15,889.36.


Lorraine Williams’ stallion Lawlors Beaudana sold for $60,000 to the Law Family of Yarrawa Park Stock Horses.


There was a 95 per cent clearance in the broodmare section where J & G Pastoral’s Winderadeen Catitude sold for $40,000, purchased by Nutrien Toowoomba (as agent).


The mare is by Intricatolena and out of Winderadeen Scotch Mist with a filly foal at foot By One Roan Peptos and is positive test in foal to Badboonarising.

Ridden: 149 of 190 lots sold (78.42%); average: $17,875.54; gross: $2,663,455; top price: Lot 329 SUEN TOO DUCK (mare) $120,000.


Entire sale: 258 of 314 lots sold (82.17%); average $15,889.36; sale grossed $4,099,455.
